I know I asked about this color in the past and was told it could be produced by a combination of Tamiya Khaki and Khaki Drab, but it's been long ago and I cannot find the thread. Anyone know, because I prefer to get my paint from a local store than by online and Tamiya paints are readily available.

Tom,
I've gone through my references and can't find an example of a color that looks like this combination. Is it a camouflage color on a gun?

"Japanese artillery brown" is the name US intelligence gave to the shade of tan that was the base color for most Japanese Army equipment (including, yes, artillery) and pre-1942 tanks. Actually, any paint or paint combination that creates the color is fine with me (preferably in acrylic.)

Polly Scale offered IJA Brown in acrylic. It may still be available in some stores. Don't know if that helps.

Oh, so it's the "Parched Grass" khaki color. Hmmm....
I'll get back to you.

No, no "parched grass" is the later tank color, more yellow. What I was referring to was the older tan color.
