I looked through this Kurogane walkaround page:

http://www.primeportal.net/trucks/yuri_pasholok/type_95_scout_car/index.php?Page=2

And I noticed two different colors of Kurogane Type 95 cars. Is the lighter one for the Imperial Japanese Army and the greener one for the Imperial Japanese Navy? It seems logical enough, as the two different colors correspond with the uniform colors of the late 1930's.

Tom,

Yes, the Army color is the khaki "Parched Grass" and the Naval Special Landing Forces color is the "Willow Leaf" dark green.

Thanks. I thought of building a Navy Kurogane as Pit Road's Type 79 motorcycle has unfortunately horrible wheels. If I could figure out the right paint color I'd be in clover.

The Japanese Army and Navy used the same Willow Leaf green for vehicles. I've always used Tamiya XF-13 J. A. Green as an excellent match for this color.
