Dear All
Some weeks ago, i was posting here in order to ask some advice regarding the best kit for a 5 years girl to build with the help of the Daddy.

And i was surprised to receive a PM from James aka AikinutNY offering me this kit.
So I am proud to be part of this community and this build is dedicated to AikinutNY.

The box arrived this week so we started it this morning, Constance my daughter received the basic training for cutting, sanding, and gluing. It is good to do activity in family. Mateo my son still too young, is in charge of sanding mainly.

I will do nothing in this build just advising, regarding painting maybe she will test the AB with vallejo paint i dont want nasty chemicals.

Enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed this morning in Sunny Bastogne.

Cheers
Seb

Dear All
It is 10 in the night back from restaurant in downtown Bastogne, first comment of my daugther while at home: "Daddy I want to continue working on the kit".

She is addicted like Daddy.

We worked on the boggies before, will post pics tomorrow

Cheers

When your stash starts shrinking, at least you know where they ended up. It is real nice to see a project being shared with the kids. Sometimes we forget that time with our childeren is priceless. My hats off to you and I hope your childeren will always remember when they get older this time with dad

Well done for getting your kids interested in the hobby, they will gain so much.
I have a 19 year old son who is definitely interested in what I make and often offers opinions (usually correct) but has not as yet started to make one, I think for teenagers it's not very cool to make models and the hobby I think suffers from having a slightly "geeky" image nowadays.

Seb,

Totally BULLY! And not only are you getting youngsters into it instead of playing video games or iPhone, you're getting girls (women) involved!

Make sure they understand the history of it when growing up. I imagine that would be easy. being in France!

Please post the painted models. I used to do camouflage on German tanks when I was younger with the spray can. Actually won some trophies at the local model show! Love to see this one...

Keep them building!

Seb, showed both of my girls the first photos the other day and am going to show them these tonight. My youngest already started building an airplane model that we got her at a show a few weeks ago and I think the older one is realizing how cool it is. Thank you for posting these they are a great inspiration for both old and young! My only question is what type of glue is she using and where can I find an applicator like that for my girls? Cheers.

P.S. would love to see some work on the M1070 . . . .just sayin' . . .

Thanks for your comments Guys

Well i am using Faller Expert glue with the small needdle.
We are using the flat cutter no blade and sand stick, Tamiya kit is great because you can easily finish rapidly the model.

Cheers
Seb
