You are right, Brian. And I didn't mean that the LR barrel is better. I was just trying to point out to the the raised part of the gun housing under the barrel lock that is pronounced in all styrene barrels and is overdone in LR barrel.
But after looking on the reference images you provided and prime-portal walkaround, I see that this "raise" should be really subtile and almost unseen on 1/35 products.

Yes, I have this one as well. The mounting bracket part is a bit smaller and I assume the fit will be tight.
