I actually do not have a good feeling about this BUT according to the price the possibility is given that it really will be an all new tooling instead of the old hull updated with a new turret. I'd be SOOOO thankful for that!

Sounds like they're the very final step in tooling now.

Mhhhh. Unfortunately it could have a higher price just because a lot of people would like to have a T-90 kit
I do believe only when I'll see a sprue shot. I have seen just a (nice) box art since now...

It COULD but take a look at Academy's Merkava Mk.4 LIC for example and compare it to the more expensive HobbyBoss one. Maybe Zvezda's T-90 kit will not include goddies like workable tracks and PE but that's okay for the price i think. Aftermarket needs something to do too .

Yes, you 're right Bernd, but I was talking about the possibility that actually they've been making just a refurbishment of their old and wrong T-72 mould. (former DML kit born when the iron courtain was still there)
In my humble opinion, unfortunately we can't say it couldn't be true only because the kit price it's higher Price could be high just for marketing reasons
Anyway we have just to wait....and cross the fingers
cheers

Please let this be real! After all of these years, let it be actually released and let it be a good kit and accurate. Considering their recent kits and figures, i have hope it may be both!

If this kit is released and its accurate then the implications are pretty massive. If we assume its the basic T-90 model they are working on and they get the turret correct, we then have potential for a plastic T-72B and T-72BM. Equally if the hull is correct again it paves they way for many other releases.
Part of me hopes they do get it right. The other part of me, which has spent well over £150 on Miniarm conversion sets hopes its junk.

Rob, I am totally with you. After all the aftermarket that is out there for the T-72/T-90 line, it would be sad to see a accurate, cheap kit come out. In a way.
I guess the moral of the story would be to build those kits as FAST as you get them.

I guess an accurate t-90 would not cause such a great loss to the AM company making the conversions. Most of the die-hard russian fans, including me, have already purchased the whole Miniarm range.

But there is always room for aftermarket something or another, even if the kit is dead nuts accurate...

Haha yes, and when does that ever happen! Especially with modern Russian stuff in plastic. I guess as Jacques said I should just start the T-90, before hundreds of em start showing up at model competitions.

Yes of course, that would be the logycal development. But Zvezda already have a t-72b in its catalogue... are they going to renow all their products?...I hope so (...finally a new T-72 !...) but in seems to me quite unlikely

It will be a completely new model. The old forms of Dragon does not use.

I hope it will be as you said, I just want a good accurate kit, nothing else...
