I have increased the image size from 150kb to 640kb for a normal user. This will allow more people who don't have a photo editing program to upload images to the site. These images can be very large however and mean an increase in the bandwidth used by the site so please only upload larger images if there is a real need. After all if you use really large images like this your uploading space will be gone very quickly.
You can check out the feature on image compression here to see how larger IS not really better.
Cheers,
Jim

Cool, thanks Jim
But as you noted - bigger pictures are not always better and they chew up your disk space quicker....

Hi Jim
Nice one! :-)
But people remember... not only does a big picture take longer to upload and use up your folder space... it also takes ages to download for anyone (most of us?) with a slow connection!
So, unless you want people to run out of patience while waiting to see your pictures... my advice is to keep them as small as possible.
All the best
Rowan
