Welcome everybody to my first post here!
I would like to show my progres with Academy's M-51 Super Sherman.

Hello Bartekk and welcome to Armorama. Your Sherman is nicely done, I see you made a few changes there right? I have this one in stash, so will follow your progress.

Thank you Naseby. Yes, model has fenders and handles made of thin brass and some other hand made details.
Last I've done tracks.

I really like this one. Painting is very well done, but those drume on the engine deck bother me. There is nothing to actually keep them from rolling around and falling off. Also a tank crew would be unlikely to leave a chain hanging where it could swing around and foul the tracks. Fix those two issues and you have a wonderful model.

Thanks Jim,
Agree, that's not a good place to transport anything. Fortunately it's only model. Under drums are placed wooden wedges. Maybe that could be enough if they are empty.

It turned out preaty good. I see the ruber tracks from the box arent that bad either if weathered properly. As for the drums, a second chain would probably add to the reality, but as You sad its only a model. Looking forward to Your next project.

Really nice model mate and I think you have the IDF sand colour tone pretty much spot -on.
Just one comment, unless based on an actual picture (and I will stand corrected if you have),the black cordite staining on the barrel is way overdone. MBT rounds leave hardly any reside and to replicate that degree of black cordite staining, you would have to fire thousands of rounds by which time the barrel itself would have (literally) melted! Perhaps a slight overspray of the sand camo to tone it down a little? Overall though, a fabulous Super Sherman! Cheers. Gary

Bartekk;
Where are the progress photos so that I can make mine look as good as yours??!!
Seriously looks great and well done. I would love to know what you changed and how as I do have this one in my stash. Cheers.

Thanks a lot. That's a pleasure to read comments like those.
Gary. I agree barrel is overdone. After I found few models with barrels painted like that I decided to do the same. I was sure that's the way how real barrels were painted
Now could be difficult to correct that, I used mixes of colours.
Damon, you can find one update about scratches at my blog. Other weathering is nothing special, just oil paints and white spirit.
Also now I know one mistake more. Jerrycans should be black. They were made of rubber
Thank you once again guys
