I took first place and best in show in the Adult Division today at the Fall 2003 Hobbytown USA contest. My model of the M-52 A1 won it for me. :-) http://community.webshots.com/album/93282331lUIlvn

Great Job! It looks very good! So did you reap any monetary benefits from the win? :-) :-)
Is the junior winner your son?
Thanks for sharing the pictures!

Where are you located and how was the turn out?
We had pretty low turnout here in Green Bay, Wisc. but it was still fun. Spend your gift certificate wisely!!! (Hmmm, M-26 or Centaur or T-55, or, or, or......)

To be candid Animal I not surprised with your Hobbytown win---As many have here, I followed/admired your M-52 build right along and felt it was a show stopper!!
Obviously the folks at Hobbytown agreed!!!! Congrats on your first place win sir!!
Regards.

Congratulations animal!
I just got back from the local HobbyTown event myself. I won Best Paint for my M20 Armored Utility Car "Double Dare". I was also awarded Best of Class and Best of Show for my M24 Chaffee Light Reconnaissance Tank - guess I'll be "seeing" you at the Nationals this time around...
Good Luck to you!

Wow, we've managed to pull down a fair number of Best of Show's for the fall event. My Famo is moving to Nationals as well. Any idea on when we'll know the results of that competition?
As soon as I can get away from work Monday I'm using my winnings to get me an M-10 and a Centaur.....
Congrats to all!!!

Well deserved Animal. I knew that was a winner when you posted it here. Pity somebody wouldnt bring this out in kit form. Good luck in the nationals.
Also congrats to Gunnie for both of his awards!
Its great, being in the company of top modellers!
