I must say I'm only familiar with one Italeri Land Rover (long wheelbase softop Series III), how new is that new one do you know?

Cheers,

Christophe

Comparing the sprues with my "Landrover" kit reference 321, the first sprue with the wheels have the same layout but some parts are modified (especially the front which now depicts a series II vehicle and probably the tyres), the second sprue with chassis parts is identical. The other sprues may or may not be the same as those in their old SAS Land Rover series III, but I do not have that kit in my stash.

Cheers,

Christophe

Unfortunately I no longer have my Tamiya Pink Panther. Could it be that? Tamiya does have some sort of re-boxing agreement with Italeri (I think they might be Italeri's distributor in Japan).

No, I have that Tamiya kit and it's entirely different...

This is the same kit Italeri issued many years ago and it is not the same as the Tamiya kit. It does have many of the same parts as the old Italeri/Testors/Revell Germany kit of the 109' soft top, so one can cross kit to make some Srs II vehicles. I have several in my stash slready, but am glad to see it on the market again--just much more expensive than last time!!
