Good Morning Gents,
I wonder if any of our members (preferably the ones from France) has heard anything about the planned release of the VBCI wheeled APC?
O.K. considering the quality of recent Heller kits, they could only get better.
But I guess, this kit also will be a bonanza for the AM industry, preferably Blast
Models.

Hi Hans
From what i heard , the kit is not yet ready.
Heller works with the help of guys from VBCI's manufacturer and says it will be an "Astan Version" (with anti RPG screen they said).
Heller thinks it will be a far better kit than their VAB.
so wait and see, btw we have so much modern new kits this time we could wait.

Dear Hans, Dear Stephane
According to my source, the project is on hold at Heller.
As well as the VAB Valo..
So no more releases as announced in 2011 Nurember show. I was discussing with them there and they clearly stated that they were negociating the licence with Nexter for the VBCI. It seems that at the time the deal was not completely done. So far, they don't have the agreement from Nexter for the VBCI neither other plastic companies.
Stephane can you contact me in PM please ??
HTH
Cheers
Seb

Thank you guys,
I think a licence from Nexter would do good for the kit. I worked out with Revells GTK Boxer, so why not for Heller. I hope I can get answer from the nice Heller lady at next years Nuremberg show.

Yes of course, but the problem is that it's very difficult to obtain. It took many years of negociating for Gasoline to get licences for their 1/48 resin kits.
Cheers,
Christophe (in Berlin).

Hi all,
Heller did get the licence from Nexter. They are currently studying a real vehicle to get the most data as possible to complement Nexter's blueprints.
The kit will just be delayed but it is not cancelled.
The staff at Heller are well aware that this kit will be their main asset for their return in the market. It can't be a miss !
So they are taking their time to give us a nice and accurate model.
