for any who knows more about it,
i have a preiser kit, and on it - it shows the ground crew as some are in black coveralls, and some in the blue-grey,
what is the difference?

If you mean field gray when you say blue gray, they are regular wehrmacht troops and the black ones are waffen ss troops. I hope it answered your questions.

Bit too low in altitude there Gabe, the Field Grey was for the Wehrmacht and Black for the SS and Panzer troops, they are the ground pounders.
For the fly boys have a look here:

Basically Luftwaffe Grey was for anyone not likely to get covered in grease ! and black for those who are

so for any that are working with any machinery etc etc in my diorama,
it would be the black?
then the rest that are just working the airfield, luftwaffe grey?

A lot of answers you have already gotten (except scott's) were for wehrmacht uniforms, not luftwaffe.
the luftwaffe mechanics, fuelers, armorers, and laborers all pretty much wore black denim overalls. sometimes the overalls were apparently dark blue
see this link
Note that luftwaffe uniforms in general were dark blue or blue gray, not field gray - field grey is wehrmacht colors - just like olive drab is traditionally US army and blue is USAF. And there may well have been exceptions, esp late in the war when supplies were getting iffy.
apparently the flak teams also had overalls as a clothing option: http://www.johncasino.com/Luftwaffe%20Flak%20and%20Ground%20Crew%20Coverall%2010148.htm.
It may be that flak crews were more likely to get the dark blue denim overalls, or maybe it is an early vs. later in the war differance, but i have no idea really.
Go with black (faded and dirty, of course) overalls and you'll almost certainly be correct.
hope that helps clear things up.
