Can anyone suggest a source for the unarmored gas caps necessary for an early M3 Stuart build? I haven't been able to find an aftermarket source for these. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt K.

I probably should have mentioned that I'm working in 1/35th scale. I'd even settle for another kit that I can source them from.

Probably one of the easier things to scratch build. In the time you have been waiting for an answer you could have made dozens of them.

Thanks for that INCREDIBLY helpful post! Care to post some pictures and instructions for how you have scratchbuilt your own? That WOULD be a help.

Does this help Matt?

The unarmoured cgas cap for the early M3s would have been even simpler. This cap has the hole for the 25 gal external tanks & the release mechanism. The earlier caps would have been a asimple cylinder with the wings to help tighten them. I'll see if I can dig up something from Hunnicutt.

Thank you Ken and Paul!
I somehow was under the misunderstanding that those caps were a much more complex looking sheet metal stamping. I had written off the idea of scratching them up based on the image I had in my head. Thanks for the information!

Not possible. No one named Tony Denazo has ever entered in an IPMS contest, had a DD-214, or even a Missouri Driver's license. Looks like Gary Owsley's girlfriend has been letting him borrow her computer again.
