Here's a few more progress shots of the Jagdpanther...
I've added the photo etch periscope covers from the Griffon Model set and added weld detail to the covers as well as the forward machine gun mount casting.
Marc, The welds are made using terracotta Milliput epoxy putty, I roll the putty into a thin "rope" in between to hard, flat surfaces. I then cut an appropriate length of the "rope" for the weld seam. Finally I use a custom made X-Acto blade that has been rounded off at the tip, wet it with water and push the "rope" into the seam lightly, finally texturing the seam by stippling the "corrugation" into it. I'm very reserved in making the "corrugation" detail, its important to be very subtle with the effect or the weld doesn't look properly scaled. Last i clean up excess putty and residue with a cotton swap dipped in water.

Hi James. I agree ... nice work on the welds .... the extra time/effort will be worth it as details like this paint up nicely and add so much.
