Hello there

This is the Trumpeter early BMP-3 with a newly dried paint job.
This is a really nice kit and even comes with a basic interior.
Photo etch and link-by-link-tracks are included in the box.

This one were built more or less OOTB, with lenses, decals and antennas
added as extras. The figure's comes from Tank.

The BMP were painted with Gunze acrylics and weathered with oil paints.

Very nice, I like your work. The crew is one of the best I ever saw, the camo on the uniforms looks very real.

Tomas,
you definitely are mastering russian armor ! This one is very well executed too. The Tank crew is really live looking and you nailed the battledress camo.

Hi all

Glad you like it.

Jamal: I usally start out with lighter colours as I weather my models mainly with dark (dilluted black) post shading and very dark oil paint washes (I personally handle dark washes better than light ones). Here (and on the T-80) I used GZ H303 green, GZ H313 Yellow and TA XF-69 NATO black followed by multiple layers of different oil paint washes.

The figures were primed with ModelMaster Israeli Armor Sand (I happened to paint a Shot Kal at the time ) with HU160 brown and HU159 green for the cammo. This again were followed by several layers of brown washes witch dulled down the paint job in a nice way.

Kind regards

Great build, Tomas. Both on the BMP and the figures.

Thanks for sharing

Hi David

I believe the logs normally would't be painted in the cammo colours, perhaps all green or even left unpainted, but on vehicles that have participated in military parades/exhibits the logs often have more elaborate paint jobs.

Tomas- I really think you have nailed every aspect of this vehicle- the painting is great and the weathering compliments it superbly, not overshadowing it. The figures also add interest and some scale reference. Nicely done.
