Hi All,

It had been a while since I last posted any figure due to work, family and lazy..cause not attending any show this year so some how no dead line to get things done.

It is really great to have a company like DARIUS MINIATURES whom produced some amazing Vignette bases... this is really excellent for figure painter who are too lazy to spend time creating nice ground work... just buy a DARIUS base and Wa..Lah... you have a beautiful piece of backdrop ready to be used!

The purpose of this vignette is to show the beautiful Darius base, given the height of this base is "low", I decided to put a dead figure on the base instead not to block any of the view of this little gem.

The figure is modified VP and resculpted some part of the body with a Hornet spare head.... Story is " ....some how this fellow just speeding with his Kattenkrad (don't ask me where is the Kattenkrad, you just have to imagine ) and topped over and fell dead.." a scene that I saw quite a few times in Ho Chi Minh last few years unfortunately due to careless riding....

Hope you like it. Any feedback and comment always welcome.

Allan

That's some amazing work Allan. Although, I'm not sure about the sculpted bricks. The ones that have fallen don't seem to be of a uniform size and don't match the ones left standing. The jerry can looks as though it should have fallen further. There is a large dead space between it and the rifles. This is even more of an issue as they have taken a tumble. The contents of the trailer should be a little more strewn about. But, the painting is great. He certainly looks dead. One point; the wood looks a bit fresh for having supported a building. A little lightening and maybe a touch of grey will fix this. This is all just my opinion.

Hi Allan. I agree with your views on the Darius Miniature´s items ... most of them look great and definately save a lot of time. This one though, Im not too sure about. The stowage in the trailer and considering how its posed, doesn´t imitate reality. I agree with Matt .... it should be strewn all over the place considering it just jumped a wall and is on its side. Great painting all the same, and good job on the converted figure!!

I have to admit my first thought was "Speeding on a Kettenkraftrad?" but then I looked them up and saw they top out at 70km/h which is insane !

Nice build mate looks great, I think dead bodies are some of the hardest to make look right and I think you've done well here.

Hi Matt - thanks for the feedback, you have eagle eyes and highly analytical,. Will take note on the brick size. The problem is more of the Darius brick size is slightly on the thinner end which I find a little out of scale. I think your point about rifle space is also valid logically due to weight. Jerry can angle is good if you u see in flesh. Appreciate your input.

Hi Frank, Scott - thanks buddy for the insight.
