Excellent work Neil. I prefer the new roof rack too. I think is more realistic than the other. Nice painting too.
Regards. Pedro.

@Korpse – Niel,
Somehow I missed your progress on this one again. The deteriorated base color looks excellent and realistic along with all of the dents, scraps and chipping. Superb job on the wire rack this is one modification worth every moment you spent on it to achieve this eye-catching feature, and it’s in scale.
Happy New Year’s

G'day Neil. Looking great. The roof rack you made looks markedly better and really improves the look of the vehicle. The faded, worn paint job looks great to. Looking forward to seeing more progress.
Cheers,
Tim

Hello all
thanks for the comments
I have the bus finished, other than the need to dust up the side windows & the rear tail lamp a bit more, and paint some more figures to go with it.
I will use a Zebrano figure (pictured unpainted), and a few others, the Zebrano figure will be holding the Distributor Cap in his hand (near his feet in the picture) and I will use some 1/72 scale tools from Brengun.
I have only one engine hatch open in the pictures below, the other side can open, its not glued, is just sitting in place.
This bus & figures will probably wind up parked on the BP-44 diorama
cheers
Neil

Excellent result.
My favorite points are the discoloration of the panels, the small rust spots, the bumps and scratches.
It looks like it has passed through a monsoon or something like that.
What I would really like to see is some pigments (dust more than mud) on the bottom half of the vehicle.
Also I think that it will ''disappear'' in such a large dio, I would really like to see it in a small vignette by itself (maybe aside a dusty country road due to failure for ex.) but that is just my p.o.
Great job so far, P.A.

@Korpse - Neil,
Looks terrific and your plan with the figure working on the bus is a good one. Excellent looking figure too.
Looking forward to seeing this one on your giant train dio.

I would scare if I must to travel in this bus . Great weathering. Remember, you must to paint the spare wheel.

Pedro.

Neil,
I'm with Pedro with not wanting to ride in that wreck! Then again, at the late stage of the war that it would look like it does, I guess that it's better than walking. Especially if there are T-34's or Sherman's after you.
Cheers,
Jan

What a mess! It looks like something that I've seen in a junkyard. Seriously, it looks fantastic. Thanks for the detailed build log and pictures. Things like this might get some of us to get off their behind and actually build something.

I really like this model (models). Model looks interesting, but I think you "destroyed" it too much. You should make a dent; it looks as if he had armor of "Tiger". I am waiting for the final result, because maybe my fears are unfounded.

Hi Neil,
good work on this bus. You spend a lot of time and work on it.
But i didn´t like the radiator grill from this kit. I looks not realy correct for me. I bought for a long time this conversation kit from MK72:
http://henk.fox3000.com/mpk.htm
=> Opel Blitz (MK72 website will don´t work at the moment because my firewall says there is a virus on it)
I think it will be a good choice to built early opel blitz radiator grill.
