This is a dio I did recently that I had been putting off for a while.I had first the scratch built guntruck then did the Trumpeter logistics team.I also had the the figure from Legends. Also the female driver. At first the guntruck was going to be on it's own.I really needed space on the shelves,so I decided to combine them.I also had an old Bigfoot kit and the cargo Humvee.

Great work. Looks awesome, great composition, figures and vehicles look good. I am planning something in the future similar but with WW2 German and couple of box cars. Very nice work.

Thanks so much guys.
When I see a reply I always think someone is going to tear it apart.
Nige,I know what your saying, only lately have people been doing some other figures than US.It took a long time before you could find a Canadian tank crew.
Simon,thanks,more on the way.

Do you think it would be warranted to tear it appart? LOL
I think the dio is very nice. To appreciate it i think that we first must take some distance to the mantra that everything should be weathered to some very used look. That is not true. New and clean vehicles exists also in the army.
I know nothing about vehicles so i do not even attempt to comment on them.
What i see (here come's my tearing part) is a potential to do a better figure painting (faces and hairs) and the need to do some weathering below the loading ramp.
A dirty corner below the ramp is more plausible then your clean surface.
Dust, dry leaves, staines, it will give the whole dio some contrast.
I would also attempt a wash on the complete surface with a selective dabbing off.

The only thing I would suggest is moving the Hummer backed up to the loading bay and having two guys interacting from the loading bay to the back of the Hummer to help bring it into the scene.
Perhaps stacking in the Hummer and waiting to pass the next to him/her!
Nice also to see that you have added a female Loggie to the scene as this is something that should be more and more recognised in the modern Army set ups.
Great respect to all the Loggies ,,,,,,,,, male or female driving about in very SOFT skinned vehicles into and out of very active areas.
Still a very nice dio and great touches.

Hi Tom. Wow, this modern dio is really well done. This actually reminds me of Kuwait a bit, when I was deployed there. The only thing I really see as kind of incorrect is the yellow decals on the vehicles. Usually, the font is bold black as on the decals you have now, but the yellow should actually be the same color of the vehicle. This is true for most vehicles in the modern day army. I only know this from guarding them for hundreds of hours on deployments, lol. Otherwise, I really like this. The composition is strong and I really love the fact that there is a female soldier in it as well, as this is very common nowadays. Excellent job!

Hi everyone and again thanks.
Claude, you are being very kind for a man of your talent. You are absolutely right on both comments.First,I really wish I could paint figures better, the technique seems to always elude me.As for the debri on the ground,I could have kicked myself when I read your comment. With my work I see a lot of shipping recieving docks and almost from the start of the dio I thought there has to be alot of windblown garbage down there. I guess I was too much in a hurry to take advatage of outside light before we get snow.
Brandi, thanks for the info on the decals.I was never sure what was right.Female troops are still a little hard to find and I found that most of the resin ones no one would would be able to tell from a male.
vladimir,I'm guessing, but must, be close that the base is about 16"x24".
All the best to eveyone here.
And as Zon says'"Happy modelling"
