The kit is by Legend... it was covered here a couple of weeks ago.

It's on pre-order at Luckymodel for $149.99

Anyone got the skinny on when this will be released? I pre ordered one and can't wait to get it. Looks like an outstanding kit.

Legend stuff is quite complicated (having built two of their Merkava full kits). I suggest You to get some practice, try a conversion from them first.

Legend website says the kit is "out of production". Anyone has any info on that?

If you have any questions, or problems, related to any Legend products.. try contacting Ryan of Legend USA.. he is very helpful. I had a Legend kit with missing instructions and he sent me a scanned copy of the instructions right away. You can contact him at:

[email protected]

Also their Facebook page...

I agree with that. Ryan is really top notch.

I have been sitting on a Legend IDF APC Nagmachon conversion because the instructions fail to show the cutting and filling in of the AFV Club kit rear sprocket drive and back plate area.

He got a picture and drawing from the HQ and I received the information today.

It is an expensive conversion that had frustrated me for about a year and could have ended up in file 13.

Thanks Ryan.

Keith.

Thanks guys, I''l drop him an email. It is a strange thing; only couple of weeks after official release, the manufacturer puts an "out of production" label on the kit.

I think the Kit wasn't released till now.

You can preorder this beast at Luckymodel or other shops.

Yes, I know it isn't released yet. It was featured on Legend website and soon became a preorder item at Lucky Models. However, after three weeks the Legend website says the kit is out of production...

So I'm a bit puzzled.

Maybe they just heard of some plastic kit of the MaxxPro soon on the shelves so they have dropped the project before starting full production ?!

Let's wait and see if Mario gets a reply from Ryan explaining this... But if there was a plastic one in the works somewhere, I think one of the guys here would have gotten some word of it.

Hey guys,

All is well, you can indeed order the model, in fact mine should arrive tomorrow! As for the “out of production” tag, I’m not sure, but it seems whatever issue that was has been resolved.

http://www-legend.co.kr/01_afv01.html?table=product&st=view&page=1&id=500&bo_class=1

I'll be building mine on the Legend-USA site, so drop by and take a look!

Indeed it has. The story behind it follows the photo. Interesting what some of our "friends" in the modeling community are up to...

I received an email from a rather -no- why be polite - morbidly obese member of this site stating that...You know what/? Read it for yourself:

Robert

I have been informed that Legends has been issued a cease and desist from Navistar.

I really find this to be very disturbing that these big companies want to stick copyright issues to us modelers.
I can’t post any info on the web about this but can inform modelers about the news
and back it up if deemed necessary.

M.....

Now, I ask myself why Navistar would bother "informing" a second rate resin company owner of their internal business. They wouldn't! (without a reason) Interestingly though, he sent me this email four days before Legend received word. And bear in mind the wheels would have to have been set in motion several days before he sent me the email. I leave it to you to draw your own conclusions. Not that I'd ever purchase anything from him, but you may voice your displeasure at the "service" he provided the modeling community with your checkbooks.

On to building the model which, despite his or anyone else's efforts , is again available for you to enjoy.

Seeing that "Legend-USA has a site is sweet "Ryan". As for that MRAP MaxxPro, I really don't feel like scratchbuilding that bad boy, so I'm saving so I can get one.

An here's a quick question: Why hasn't Legend come out with a resin tire set for the Humvee and Heavy US Military trucks?: Aggressive tred parttern tires, TA swamper tires, US Military Michelin X tires ect....

Legend does make resin tires for the HMMWV. As for heavier trucks, expect good news soon.

Isn't that the same address where rumors of plastic kit have been set in motion?
