I've read that some things over the model are not correct...so if you want more accurancy you need to fix the errors(?)
Can someone explain or expose the areas that need to be detailed/corrected?!
I'll have the kit at the end of November but I see that some of you just have the current panda M-atv so...
Another question....Kinetic is ready to release their M-atv....I know it'll cost more than the panda model but....are there enough differences in quality/accurancy for the price differences?!
I'm not an expert of this vehicle so I can't have an opinion about the two kits...can you share your opinions with me?!
Regards
Ciro

Hi! I see you live in Italy, so maybe you can read French or you know someone who can. I found this rather complete review on this french site:

http://france135.positifforum.com/t603-mrap-m-atv-oshkosh-panda-hobby-1-35eme-refph35001#6802

Here's a rough summary: It is a very nice kit, similar in quality to Academy. It has some soft details (e.g. the Oshkosh logo on the grille and the bolts on the wheels) but it has very nice detail all around. There is some flash on a couple of parts, and there are a few ejection marks. Some antennae (and such extra stuff -Duke, Rhino- could be more detailed. The radio system is missing but the radio rack is included and nicely detailed (?!). The tires have the right pattern but the rubber used is a little greasy. They also mention that the instructions are ok but could be easier to read. So that's about it.

I also read somewhere else that Panda's kit has photo etched parts that Kinetic's doesnt' have. I haven't read any review of the Kinetic kit, of course, but I'm pretty confident I made the right choice in ordering the Panda. I should get it this week. I'll give so more info then, if necessary.

Hi Nicolas,
thank you....I've read and I've more or less understand the review over the link but it's the same that I've found over other sites.
I mean a tweak list with the errors that need to be fixed or areas where you need to improve or correct.Of course if these areas or errors are in the kit.
Me too hope that panda will be the better choice but I'll get also a kinetic kit next year.Cheers
Ciro

I received my kit last week and started building it yesterday. It's a pretty good kit but not the best there are several mistakes in the instructions, misnumbered parts some parts don't even have numbers at all. The fitting of parts is not that great either. There's a lot of flash and some parts are thick. Be careful with the rear suspension and the transfer case, i'm not sure but I think the instruction show it backwards, if you assemble it by what the instructions discribe there will be a fit issue with the rear suspension components. There are holes and slots that will require opening and enlarging. That's as far as I have gotten so far. I will keep you guys posted on the progress and I will include photos. Even with all these issues it is still a great kit and I am happy I purchased it.

Nick, will do, don't be afraid of the kit and its inaccuracies every single model kit is inaccurate no matter which manufacture produces it. I will post pics and the part numbers affected. I may not get to it this week, I got a kitchen remodel in progress right now but I will get to it soon.

I told myself I wouldn't start on this kit for some time, but I just couldn't resist. There are a few things specifically to look out for. As others mentioned, several holes and joints need to be opened up. The flash is not too much of a hassle, for the most part it snaps off as soon as you cut the parts from their trees.

The biggest issue I have found so far is in the instructions. In steps 2 and 3, where you assemble the drive-train for the rear and front axles, the assemblies for parts B9 and B8 are reversed. It is the same with parts B12 and B11 for the front. If you assemble it the way they show, the shocks meet up on the wrong sides of the suspension arms, and you'll probably break something trying to pull it all apart.

You also may want to go with Real Models resin wheel set. The tires included are too narrow where they meet the wheels and fit rather loose. The tread pattern is sort of soft and shallow too.
