I'm looking to add some resin stowage pieces to a Sherman and a Firefly (both Tascas), and have been trying to decide between the Legends Sherman set #1116 and the Black Dog Firely set #T35029.
Any advice?

Bill, I've got that Legend set and a different Black Dog one and if I had to buy either I'd go for the Black Dog set.
Although the Legend set has many more pieces, you'll be hard pushed to fit them all on one model, Also, be prepared to replace straps and ropes that haven't come out of the moulds correctly. For example, the logs are almost unusable due to poor casting of the chains. Many of the parts also seem to be just copies of stuff already in your spares box in plastic (the lamp, gun and bottle for example). That's not to say I haven't found homes for the majority of the kit on other builds though.
The Black Dog (Staghound) set I bought is an entirely different ballgame. The quality of casting is 100% better IMO. Parts were much easier to trim of their casting blocks too as the resin is a bit softer. You might not get so much but what you do get you'll be happy with.
Hope that helps...

I used the Legend Staghound and Verlinden British storage for my Firefly. I believe it is about $30.

Hi Bill,
Like Ken I've used both BD and the other legend. Basically get both. There's enough for about four/five kits and you can mix and match. I got the legend one a few years ago and the moulds were fine (actually I'm still using them so that'll be six kits so far) and I only do British armour.

Hmmm, a diversity of opinion, LOL. But thanks, Gents, for the helpful replies!

Hi Bill
I don't have either set but I do have the Legend Firefly stowage set which has the same logs and they are airbubble free and the chains are perfect- maybe Ken just got a bad set.
If you can afford them then as Craig said buy both you can never have too much stowage

Thanks, Pat, I think that's probably true!

That's the other legend set I had, which I'm still using bits of, I think I'm going to have to get another pair of these as I've got two Firefly's. A Grant in Burma and an M.10 for next year (I X kit =3 months, sorted) so ther's enough in both sets for all of them.

Pat, you may well be right.
Here's what mine look like.
As you can see, it means trimming the old chain and rope off and remaking altogether.

Ken,
Bad set there, nothing like mine, all I had to do was clean up and paint. Actually put them on a T34 (doesn't say they have to be American logs)
