Since the size of Verlinden taliban series is oversized.......I need to find another solution.......I will take either resin or plastic figures.......the original figures I was going to use were the ICM US Elite Forces.......found some yesterday at my local hobby shop and did not like what I saw.......does anybody have some alternate ideas

Try some of the older US troops from the 80's era with BDU's. Replace the heads with some arab looking bearded faces, throw a patrol cap on there, paint em blue and throw an AMD-65 on them with a chinese AK chest rig (think DML NVA figures) and you're good to go. You could also replace their boots with some sandals if you wanted to. ANP were hit and miss with boots.

Yeah, they were all over the place with standards (what's that!) Some had beards, some were clean shaven, some were very young, some were VERY old, it really just varied. However using a Taliban figure would not work. Standard ANP weapons,
AMD-65
AK-47
PKMS
RPG-7, typically with the OG-7 anti personel rockets loaded.

Don't forget o decorate their small arms with the Paki Tape, makes their weapons much halal. I'll post some pictures later when I get to my other computer to show you what I mean.

Here ya go, you get a smattering of me and some Polish Army in there as well.

First of all, 1952 Izmash AK-47+AMD-65 muzzle brake + super awesome blue and red Paki tape = Most Halal AK

Next we have super awesome trigger discipline on the PKMS, note the same AK as earlier and the AMD-65 next to him. Also the guy in back is rocking the RPG-7 with the anti personnel OG-7 grenades.

A very young ANP who wanted to his picture taken with me for some reason. What that reason is I prefer to remain ignorant. He was around 17 I believe.

Post blast when the Polish QRF and local ANP came out for us. Good picture of the Polish Army and their kit actually. This ANP rolled a bit better than most, note the knee pad actually on his knee, most use them as ankle warmers if at all. Note the rigged up thigh rig for his GP-30 grenades, where is his rifle you ask, who knows. Also take note of the individual 9mm pistol rounds, where is his pistol you ask, why he doesn't have one, those are merely for show.

Anyways, that's the ANP for you, if you want some more let me know and I'll dig up some more.

*Edit* forgot to mention, those are their winter uniforms and are made of wool. Hence the grayish blue tint to them. The summer uniforms are more of a blue than a gray.
