Just curious if anyone else has been experiencing time outs or slow loading of the site and forums the last couple of days. I don't believe it is my internet, as I am not having issues with any other site, just this one.

It was part of the site maintenance Kevin, I had the same issues. Seems to be ok today, though...so maybe we're back to normal

I thought it was just me! It still seems to be running slow though.

Glad it was maintenance and not someone giving the site a little present.

I too have been experiencing a slow Armorama since Thanksgiving Weekend. Seems to get slower if one logs in; kind of fine if one does not. Sometimes the webpage doesn't load or the buttons won't show and function.

It still remains very poor, the connect time between links crawls along at the moment.

Yeah, it can take about 20+ seconds to load a page. If it loads.
I really hope it's not a serious problem.

Yeah, it seemed to pick up for a bit on Saturday, but again yesterday, was very slow, pages timing out again. Seem a little better this morning, but slower then normal.

And seems to be getting worse, had to refresh like 10 times just to get in a few minutes ago, and even had to refresh a few times just to get the reply page to type this. Hope it gets resolved soon.

Jim S is working on a solution to this issue and I am sure will have it licked soon.

On the "Latest Posts" section, I'm showing posts and prices for "Tiffany jewelry" and "Coach Handbags" under the ModelGeek UFO icon. Looks like something to do with MGeek that is causing the slowdown...

Peter - I wish... that is just a spammer who has already been zapped. The topics should disappear off the latest posts page when it is re-cached.
All - There are several factors causing the slow-down. Primarily it is a problem with the daily backup which normally runs around 7pm PST. Unfortunately since this is a busier time of year for modeling the backup is taking longer to complete due to higher load on the server, etc. As of today for example it is STILL running and waiting for load to go down to complete.
Sadly hitting refresh only makes this problem worse as each time you hit refresh it is sending additional requests to the server, etc. :/
I am taking some steps today to try to reduce load and hopefully get the system back to norms.
