I read about this kit and it's great to see the review. I can imagine how small some of the parts must be but that PE armour looks like it might be a nightmare. The review was very informative and I love the fact that you can make this without the armour. I'd probably go that route but still mount some weapons. A couple of questions. The scale issue doesn't seem that huge, does or would it make a difference? In a couple of pictures it looks like you bored out the barrel on the kit machinegun (crazy)? ;-)

AJ

Mario - Thanks to you and the other staff for getting this one up so fast.

@AJB - I'm glad that you found the review informative and yes, you could build the Jeeps without the armour but mounting weapons. The Jeep book that I mention in the review had a picture of one unarmoured version mounting no less than four Bazookas on the central pedestal. An interesting aside, from what I've read these Bazookas were meant to fire in salvo, not individually.

As to whether scale is an issue, the builder will have to be the best judge. Subtracting what should be from what exists, the wheelbase difference amounts to .020" (.5 mm). This in turn calculates out to 1.4" (36 mm) in full size.

Amusingly, I'm not yet bad enough to try to drill out a machine gun barrel in this scale (plus I don't possess a drill that small). The barrel of the .50 Cal from the Jeep kit is bored out by the slide moulding technique that Dragon uses. I should have mentioned this and the fact that the Bazooka barrels are also bored out in the review. My apologies for that.

Cheers,
Jan
