This project is a what if diorama ()1/35)and the story is.......
Tunis 1943
Afterwards the defeat in El Alamein, a team of Raggruppamento Sahariano met a vehicle Semovente (of possibly 132nd Ariete), lost in desert , inside the red rocks, in a rugged landscape where sand burned around the ancient columns that were very tall and strange as it were bent above in their heads, they found however three handfuls water, under in their legs, in order to they drink, tightened in the miserable shade of two or three palms, " in a bothered ancient oasis ", as would say also the comander, that was educated.
Antonio next to Franchesko the old friend from Palermo, had no idea about the stones, ...and from historical battles, they only they knew ..was the battle that give the mantolinata of San Francisco to Santa Rosalina on holidays,, but also Alessantro with the Marko did not give a lot attention, Italy was full of such stones, much bigger even, but here only the water deserved their attention.
Etore, little further looked at the enormous statue which was corroded from the desert winds and the sand and he still remembered, the passing Berber who answered to him, that they are found in the shade of Vaal and and other and other bizarre for someone supposedly, King of ancient Tunis, that passed, if it is possible, first Pyrenees and afterwards, the snow-capped Alps with army and ..... Elephants and appeared in front of the gates of Rome, which Rome? His Rome ?!!!! What a fairy tale, and elephants on Alpes when the big Fiat have a lot of problems and we were stuck here he thought and he laughed then he ran, before this stinker Tzoyzepe dives his legs in the water .
Perhaps however...... perhaps the old Berber had right and Etore it was in front of the Palace than where the son of Cartagena, began to become one of the bigger army commanders, For little did not change the history, against the powerful she Wolf but sure became a nightmare "Hannibal ante portas", the great enemy of Rome.
Perhaps the Etore never understood what he had seen, and we may never know
(Hannibal means the benediction of Vaal)

Wow, i'm really impressed with this diorama.
This is among the Best seen here since a long time!
The whole athmosphere (including your great photography skills) is just wonderful.
Figures ar well painted, i love the palms, great variety of stonework.
Big thumb up also for the Layout with the high grounds surrounding so well the scene.
Well done!
Claude

Hi Dimitris
Great composition overall. The pillars and rock provide a great background as well as encircling and shifting focus to the still water. The vehicles and figures doing this from the front side as well. Even though there are so many sand colours, each item stands out nicely because of the shades used ... something that sounds easier than it is. The palm trees and green offer a great colour contrast as well as helping with the background. Very clever work but has the benifit of some great vehicle and figures to keep the standard high throughout. Nice one.
