Who is it from? I've been sitting on a half-built Verlinden conversion for two years or so, and frankly lack the enthusiam to complete, as there are a lot of details that have to be "sourced". I'd be very pleased to grab a dedicated M578 especially one with the cab interior!

Is that similar to the box on the back of the GMV?

Actually, since you're in USAEUR, I'll wager this is a pending release from Perfect Scale Modellbau???

I dunno, I've seen them mounted to many different vehicles when I was in 15+ years ago....I've heard them called artillery boxes or OVM boxes.
I need one for a M981 I've been wanting to build since I got out!
Plus they where mounted to the tops of the MLRS Battalion I was also assigned to nearly 20 yrs ago.

Bingo !
This is a complete kit, no M110 hull needed, full interior in resin from PSM.
Kit will be out early next week .... Gerold finished the construction plans today ... had a close look at the first production batch, great quality !
Gonna pick mine up on Sunday.
Cheers

Great! If he really wants to make some cash, he'll offer the tracks separately.

That's a nice looking kit.. and the interior adds a lot to it.
Why are most of the really cool and interesting vehicles... almost always done in resin

Oh well...there goes the budget for this year!!
Love the tow bar!!......I have an old M107 barrel to hang from the boom.
Scott.....if you just want the crane and are not interested in the internals, I have the Verlinden conversion kit. It becomes available when I pick this up.
Rounds Complete!!

I guessed well, apparently. Seems like PSM is hitting all the right spots from my 70's/80's wish list recently. I have built both of the articulated body trucks (M561 Gama Goat and M520 GOER) from PSM, and now will have to work an overtime job to land the M578! It was not on the web site when this thread was initially pushed out earlier today.
