I just bought the DML Panzerbefehlswagen III Ausf. K (#9018). I was just
beginning to look around for what is available in terms of AM stuff and
can't seem to find anything for the K. There is a ton of stuff for the J
and the L though. I was wondering whether the K was closer to the J or the
L in terms of appearance and which AM stuff should I get (i.e. PE for J or
L).
Thanks

Adam,
check the following link. It seems the "K" was based on the "L",with some changes to the turret. I've got the same kit at home, but I haven't had a chance to really look into it. Keep us posted.......

I am pretty sure that the Panzerbefehlswagen III Ausf. K is very similar to the Ausf L. What After Market stuff are you interested in. If it is etched brass, then you can use almost any varient.

From what i have found there weren't that many k's around so the link between the j to l is sketchy at best! The L had spaced armour on the gun mount and in front of the driver appox 20mm.The increased weight was sorted out by adding equalising springs or weight at the rear!Overall weight of L was 23 tons!
Hope this helps and if i find any pics i'll let you know!

I have a Ausf. L pretty much built outta the box. It's a good kit.

O.k. Based on everything that has been sent to me this is the picture that has been painted:
The Panzerbefhelswagen III Ausf. K had the superstructure of the Ausf. M and the turret of a Pz IV Ausf. F2 with the 5cm KwK L/60 installed. I've seen references and received posts that say the hull was based on the Ausf. L and the Ausf. M, but when I recieved the model today it was the hull of the Ausf. M.
