We have just begun a new series of WW2-type conversions and starting the line up is a nice improved turret for the Academy (and now Italeri) M3A1 Stuart kit. Almost ready is a correct M3A1 Stuart with the sloped-type of rear upper hull.

We're on vacation now until the 15th so I apologize if I'm slow in responding to any comments or emails.

Enjoy your vacation, Ronnie. You're gonna be busy when you get back.

Ron,
Will the upcoming Stuart upper hull incloude a proper-sized turret ring? The Tamiya & Academy kits all have a turret ring that is about 1/8" too small in diameter making the sloped skirt at the base to the M3A1 turret protrude out over the ring, which it shouldn't.
Thanks,
Paul

I'm hoping I will be busy, my wife banned me from the workshop until then!
Yes, the new upper hull conversion will have the turret ring corrections and many other improved details. Just got into alittle confusion with the proper air cleaner type and setup. So, we'll do the "standard" US late-type and go from there. Also have a full French/British version with a modified turret, british honey type smoke dischargers and other small mods. Lots more Stuart stuff coming, still have to fix the "Honeys".
