Hi,
I'm looking to buy some acrylic paints to paint 1/35th armour/AFV & figures of WWII German subjects & was wondering what you guys thought of the Lifecolor range of paints.
I have quite a few Vallejo Model color/air already but I'm interested in what you think about the competition.
Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you.
Joe.

I like the Lifecolour paint, I really do, but. .................
I live in the desert south west and the dry conditions seriously effect the paint when I airbrush. I am able to achieve great finishes with Lifecolour, yet getting there is a chore beyond words. I swear it drys in the AB cup!
Don't let that keep you from using the paint though. I like it, Life colour does airbrush well (with work in my case) and it brushes well.

I have like 5 or 6 paints from Lifecolor and I really like them. They are great with ordinary paint brush(for small details or soldiers) and even better with airbrush. In the beginning I always mixed them with ordinary or distilled water and had problem with very fast drying on needle tip. Now I mix it up with 70% alcohol and there is lees cleaning of needle tip(I guess it slows down the drying time of paint).
Only had problem with sand color but managed to get good combination with Testors universal acrylic thinner.

Hi,
I have some Lifcolor sets, and i think they dry quickly and flat.
It's great for brush painting, but I never airbrushed it.
I am still experimenting some with vallejo.
I would surely recommend Lifecolor!
