It’s been sometime since my last posting on the Husky, I had to finish up some other projects. Anyhow I’m back at it and it’s around 90% done. I’m now working on putting on bar armor around it. For the reference of the armor I dvr’d Bomb Patrol Afghanistan showing some of the sides.

This is the start of the GPR panels, ground penetrating panels. Upper frame and bumper work.

Start of the bar armor.

I will have this (have too be) for the AMPS convention, I’ll be on the road Thursday morning.

Happy Modeling,
Joe

Hej Joe. A fantastic build from beginning to now. Super details. Good luck at AMPS. A worthy winner in my books.

I was able to get on the bar armor tonight, I need just to add some touch up here and there. I will say looking at the many reference and the T.V show no two HUSKY’S are alike.

There are some that have bar armor across the front windshield… I’m thinking of adding some tomorrow and then calling this one finished.

I’ll post to everyone tomorrow along with finished photos.

Happy Modeling,
Joe S.

Now you're loosing me. It's very hard to comprehend that the bar armor is scratch built!

Amazing work!

I can't wait to see this at the show. Would it be too akward if I kiss your boots?

(You don't have to answer that one...)

Brilliant piece of work and very well done. My hat is off to you, thanks for sharing it with us.

No doubt (we hope) some model company will will ask if they can copy it for mass production (crossing you palm with Silver of course).....

Thanks guys !

As to the video no I have not seen this one. I did however get my inspiration to build my Husky from a T.V. show on G4 station called “Bomb Patrol Afghanistan” So far there were two seasons and I’m waiting for the third. I was able to DVR and burn each show onto DVD’s.

I’m looking into building a second Husky model, might do a dio or something (resin casting set ).

Happy Modeling,
Joe
