I'm looking for some British personal gear. So I'm looking at the MasterBox North Africa troops or the Tamiya British Infantry on Patrol kits. Does anyone have these 2 sets and can compare the quality of the molding for the various packs, helmet, ammo pouches, etc.
Thanks!

Hi Jesse,
I tend to favour the Tamiya British Army equipment, I think it is nicely done. There are numerous reviews on MB figures on the site where you can check out the the equipment for yourself.
For MB I mix and match, my biggest gripe with MB equipment is the size of the respirator pouches but they don't apply if you are thinking N Africa.
The Tamiya British Infanty sets are pretty cheap so buying one for the two sets of equipment which are included is pretty cost effective. I don't rate the helmets much but the rest of the gear is good. They have long bayonet scaboards in the Tamiya set too but they are attached to the small digging tool holder.
MB Figures are slightly bigger so sometimes you will need to go with the packs/pouches, sometimes not.
Just my personal perspective only.
