I have the Dragon K5 sitting around waiting for winter-
any news if there will be a Eduard or Aber PE kit anytime soon for the Dragon kit?

Thanks,
Peter

Hi. Don't imagine you will have to wait too long for some up-grades for either one of these kits. I see that somebody is already making the aluminum barrels for both of them. Although I don't seen the need for these, as long as the modeler is careful in putting together the kit-supplied ones. With some sanding, patience, and some good old-fashioned 'eye-balling' as things dry, these are nice enough. I do know my Trumpeter has a PE sheet already in the kit, which is pretty nice in itself. Don't know about the Dragon unit.

But all in all, it usually doesn't take too long before the after-market suppliers begin to come out with things, so you probably won't have to wait all that long. I really wouldn't be too surprised that by next spring there will be all kinds of add-ons for both of these kits. Or probably sooner.

Take care, sgirty

Adv/azimut from France has a two kits out. 1 for Dragon, 1 for Trumpetter. They also have a turned barrel for the K5 out. From Ironside there's an ammunition set out.

Well, looking at the pictures of the Dragon K5 on Hannants website, it looks as if there is a little fret of PE included with the kit, though it may be in Dragon's famous "impossible-to -bend" stainless steel . And I can just imagine what an ally barrel for either of these would be like, having seen the one for the Karl Morser.

The Pe fret with the dragon kit is actually made from brass this time. Very easy to bend.
