Hi all,

Does anyone know if there are etched or brass wheels available to detail the Pz IV brake housing drums, possible from model railroad accessories? They should look like the ones on the right side of the picture here - http://panzerivuniverse.phelpscomputerservices.com/Photo0000183.htm

I'm trying to find something I can use to detail up the ones in my Trumpeter kits.

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

Tichy Train Group 2800 (N Guage brake wheels, 16/pack) look the part, but I cannot guarantee they are small enough to be perfectly in scale. Try Walthers.com or evilbay.

(Not sure if anyone does them in Z Guage?...)

N scale brake wheels will be too big . They do make stuff like this in HO but it could be called a Tap , a Drain Valve or a Drain Cock and be made by any one of a dozen AM parts companys . Go into a good Rail Road Hobby shop( are there any left ? ) , and show the guy at the counter what your looking for .He should be able to find it in trhe Walthers Wish Book ( wish thay had it in stock ! ) and order it for you .

Thanks for the replies everyone, lots of things to check
I'd have to check it in person, but I think Aber SV-09 may be perfect.

Regards
Mike
