Hi there.

I got side-tracked from my Red Devil in Arhem Diorama, by making a little, somewhat different, vignette based on a picture that I found on the internet a while ago.
This is the picture I am talking about:

So, to represent that picture, I used the dog from the Tamiya Live stock set, with some modifications to his legs, tail and mouth (removed the tongue and added the two front teeth). The boots are from figures from the spare box, drilled and resculpted to house the dog's legs. The Kar-98 and grenades are also DML spare parts.
I schratchbuilt the gas mask out of tin foil and epoxy putty. The barbed wired is made from copper wire.
Here are the results:

Hope you like it!
Thanks for watching.

Cheers,

Pablo

Randy, thanks for your reply.
Yeah I think, from time to time, it is nice to do something out of the ordinary.

Hi Zon!
Yeap, leaving animal rights aside, it is a different subject and I had some fun modelling it.
Thanks for visiting!

Javier,

Very nice model! I really like the subject.

But let me be the critic regarding the painting. I think you really could have done better and put in a bit more effort.

The eyes should be overall dark, glossy with a darker iris.
See a german sheperds eyes

The fur could be better if you use a few different brown redish colors, nicely worked in, with oil colors for example.
A dog also has normally a slightly shining (glossy) fur.

Nice project IMO, but finished to fast.

Hi there!

@Vlad: Thanks, man!!! Glad you like it and thanks for stopping by.

@Claude: Yeap, you are right about the fur. I intended to give it a matt finish, since I consider the dog was somewhere near the front, in what seems to be a dusty place, so I guess the poor fellow should have had some dirt on the hair. Regarding the eyes, they are so tiny in 1/35 that when I first painted black, the visually blended into the eyelid line, so then decided to go with the brown color, in order to make more visible. Maybe I went too far, but still can give it a little touch of a glossy black filter. Thanks for your remarks!!! I appreciate them.

Cheers.

Pablo
