as suggested on Trumpeter painting guide colors suggested are russian green and flat white. Was the factory paint the same colors? or was tank 708 modified in the field with flat white.Would all of the track road wheels ECT be a gungy flat white?

I would have thought the white on the tank would be white wash and so not a solid colour as such. The green on Russian armour seems to be more a general colour as no two tanks seem to be the same.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/barryslemmings/216432545/in/photostream/ so a rather haphazard white wash over the Russian green is the way to go this is my first armor model, thanks for the advice

I didn't like this tank till I read up on it and now I like it a lot. I'm working on a KV-1 and KV-2 and one of the paint options is similar to the one you mention. It's just a white wash over the standard green. I'll be doing this to my KV-2 but I plant to let a bit of the green show through. Something of a sloppy white wash.....

I have put up a walk around of this very KV1 on Armorama which may be of help.
