Hi All,

I have a couple of Dragon 1/35 Panther kits in my collection that are spare. The first is Cyber-Hobby 6659 (Black Knights Late Panther G) and the other is Cyber-Hobby 9103 (Panther 2)

So i was thinking, as i don't really plan on building a Panther 2, would it be possible to take the running gear from the Panther 2 kit and fit them to the Panther G, in effect making a Panther Steel Wheel?

I do not see a problem with that, as the wheels are the same as on the Tiger or the steel wheel kit already produced by Dragon. BTW this is my first post on this forum so be gentle with me if I m incorrect. But i don't think I am anyway...

I knew that dragon already did a steel wheel version, but i was wondering if i could essentially do the same with what i have.

Annoyingly, i've just had a look at some photos (and the kits instructions) and there do seem to be some differences. From what i can tell the wheels themselves are the same, but on the panther G the outer ones are a single wheel, yet on the panther 2 they are doubled up, with the inner roadwheels being closer to the hull. It also seems that the hubs and spacing themselves are different. So i suppose i just answered my own question
