hello all,
Here are some pictures of a Bravo 6 figure I finished some time ago. This company really release very sweet figures in 1/35, a joy to paint.
The bandage on the right eye come from the fact that I have redone the right eye 10 times, and finally escape with this subterfuge (which I like in the end).
Comments and critics encouraged.
Best
Julien

very well done. I like the bandage also, great cover up and looks realistic. I like the sweat shine on him, makes it look the part of being in a hot area. Your painting brings this figure out with a natural look.

Charlie the pirate. Sorry, just couldn't help myself. I hope that I too can achieve the level of detail you have put into this figure. This one sets a new learning curve, for me. Did you highlite the edge of the knife or is my mind playing tricks on me?

Hello,
Many thanks for your comments. This is the best figure I made so far in my opinion. This is where I was 8 to 10 years ago :
There is no magic tricks, miraculous how to DVD or selfworking brushes, it's just a question of practice, curiosity and love for the hobby.
Bob, glad you've noticed the sweat thing. The base coat is enamel, then I adjust the color with oil paint, therefore therefore final result is shiny. I simply didn't apply mat varnish on the flesh part. I wanted him to have a upsetted and harrased look
Matt, no your mind is not sick and yes the hegde of the knife is highlighted. detail is the queen of our hobby
Gary, I've seen your mg gunner and I think you have good skill in reproducing the real effect (your mud stuff is really good)
Best,
Julien

Hello Biggles,
as far as royalties are concerned, you should Vladimir Demchemko, the owner of Bravo 6
Anthony, thanks for your comment, I think the likelyhood is mainly due to Vladimir's work. I enjoyed playing with oil filters on this figure.
Best,
julien
