Interesting piece Alan. I don't think I've ever seen photos of brens mounted on tripods.

Hi Pat,
Used in the early days for fixed line of fire in static defences and pill boxes.. Probably not that popular but I think I have a couple of pictures of the AA mount somewhere, if I can find them

Thanks Al. I remember training with the GPMG each team was handed one of these, or something similar, folded up, and told to figure it out. As I recall we all failed miserably

Hi Pat,
the GPMG in sustained fire mode is an awesome weapon, just like the Vickers you can drop the rounds right into a trench system, although you need the SF barrel, otherwise things might fuse together!!! lol, lol.
