I already have one on order from my retailer. It's already out in Japan, and I'll have mine shortly.

Indeed, this is a very nice kit. Tamiya basically used the same molds as for the M1025, but they added some extra details, like the internal structures of the rear loading hatch and the system to keep the hatch open..
I also ordered this kit, already got the M1025, but orderer one extra too.... :-)

Nice review of this kit, with photos of the sprues and decals, here: http://pmms.webace.com.au/reviews/vehicles/tamiya/tam35267.htm

Does anyone have any clue if there is plans in the works or if someone has a update kit to convert a 1025 to (I think) an 1141? That should be the model number for the TOW ITAS truck. If anyone was paying attention to the assault on Ude and Quesay's building, an Anti Armor platoon using TOW ITAS shot 43 yes...43 TOW II B missiles into it.
And, Does anyone know anything about PROPER end caps on TOW missles in kits? I have an Academy 1025 that has some freaky looking end caps that are no where near correct.
Oops...another and....How about Battery power conditioners, night sight, and boresight collimator hard cases?
Thankee. (++)

I,m not familar with the Academy 1025 kit. However, I did build their M996 Kit (number 1363). The outside does closely represent the end caps. But they are way to thick. The Eduard PE for the old Testors/ Iltaieri kit. It worked great for my model. Herre's a link to the web page http://train.missouri.org/~emgeer/m966.htm
All the cases I had to build out of plastic sheets and plastic slide holders. Also, all the numerious caables for the TU's to MGS cables, radio's, the KY-57, night sight etc I constrructed out of Telephone cable

Do you guys have a clue what Hummer versions Tamiya plans to produce... I've seen their promo leaflet, but wonder if that's just a teaser...
EDIT:
Wouldn't it be nice to have something like this as well: AIM Hummer

I finally got to see a picture of the 1046. It looks good, but It is going to end up to be another shellback that sits in my closet. The ad says that it has all the fixins' for the TOW (hard cases etc) but I didn't see if there was a full compliment of ammo? also, does it come with either and additional M2 or Mk 19? That would be nice, considering it is SOP to carry one with...Shooting a $13,000 missile at an Iraqi with an AK just doesn't make sense.

I can't remember seeing an additional Mk.19 or .50..
But I'm tending to use the Verlinden update set, and as I recall correctly, it has a Mk.19 included....
I saw the Tamiya leaflet too, don't know if it's just to indicate all versions produced, or if it indicates Tamiya has the intention of producing them all.. Being the only manufacturer to have released the correct vehicle, I hope they do...
