Yes. But, make sure you flush it with plenty of water afterwards. The amonia in the windex will etch brass. I lost a fine tip that way.

+1 on the above. It's critical you run distilled water afterward.

Rob is right...distilled water works best. I lost a good needle as well. not expensive, but a pain in the butt....
