I way be way off base but it seems to me that at some point DML usually releases the figures you see on the box art of their armor kits. I wonder if a new set of British infantry is on the way?

Hi, Super good news on the Firefly model. Like halfyank, I'm getting kind of tired of all the German stuff myself. I like a change every now and then too. And the Firefly is a good start in this direction. Let's hope this trend continues to some degree.
Take care, sgirty

Shows how things work doesn't it? German armor modellers get new moulds and loads of variants on the most obscure vehicles, we get re-packaged,re-issues..... Long live market forces!

I totally agree. But since I wasn't into modeling when the DML Firefly first came out I'll grab this one. At this point I'll take just about ANY British vehicle and count my blessings.

A new mold 251 C! Gonna sell like hotcakes! Isn't AFV supposed to be working on a 251 D?
Now, if one of the model companys would just start on new mold M3 halftrack kits.
2003 has been a great year for armor modellers. Not only plastic kits, but some of the neatest resin kit conversions, Allied and Axis, ever put on the market with more on the way.
My only problem is how do I come up with the cash!

It would appear that one change to the Firefly is the addition of "duckbills" for the tracks.

I agree with YagPanzer.. I wish someone would new tool the US M3 Halftracks!!!!!
I already have the older version of that Firefly.. I'm happy to see the new 251/C.. lol now I'll have to throw my old one in the trash!!!.. maybe I can get my son to build it!!!
New kits is good news!!! though I am disappointed that the Firefly is no a new tooling.. nor the Cast Hull version

Thanks for the link Geoff If you look closely at the right side pic it looks like there is detail on the backside of the roadwheel Then again I may be seeing things #:-) (++)

Good to see the Firefly again as I missed this first time around - just have to find some decent tracks for it - AFV Club maybe, adds to the cost of the kit though.

Chad:
From what I understand, the kit comes with insert pieces that correct the one-sided roadwheels. Also, they have corrected the lower hull. I saw some pics of the sprues on a Japanese website that confirmed this, but I can't seem to find the link now.
Also, DML apparently added some more goodies to improve the old kit -- we'll have to see when someone gets their mitts on a review kit!
