Hi all
Im currently building Tamiya's 1/48 Sherman Firefly, oddly it comes with a hull mounted 30cal but no roof mounted 50cal even though the fixing hole in the commanders hatch is there for one. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a 50cal with the mounting, ammo boxes etc?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Matt

1.Verlinden makes a set of 4?
2.Hauler, Aber makes the ammo boxes
3.Gasoline makes a set
4. *****RB Barrel just came out with an awesome conversion for the Tamiya 50 cal but could also use it with other manufacturers.
5.My resin Kengi Hellcat came with 2 50cal which I think look really good.
You can look on ebay and find a lot of stuff. Track48.com, Quarter-kit.com.

you may be better off without one,it was common practice to leave the .50cal off Vc Fireflies as it got in the way, reference photos appear to back this up but as is often the way with shermans never say never!

Its more common to see NWE British Shermans, including Fireflies without .50 cals, but you do see some, so either way is accurate.

Thankyou everyone for your help especially Greg i've now got some idea where to start looking, cheers.
I had heard that most Fireflys had the 50cals removed but i've seen a picture somewhere with a firefly with one fitted can't say where it was though.
Thanks again
