Hello all,
I just recieved my Dragon jagtiger porsche production kit (#6351) and the superstruture was warped beyond fixing. Does dragon offer replacement sprues, or am I just out of luck?
Thanks for your help!

Chris:
I am supposing that you received this kit from a retailer... so you have a couple of options: One is to contact the sending retailer and get fixed up (generally the reputable e-stores will replace the damaged kit) - another is to contact DragonCare.com and go thru their simple and almost-always very satisfying process to get a replacement sprue promptly sent to you free of charge.
But: DragonCare will ask you where and from whom you purchased your kit, and it is assumed that your kit was bought NEW in its shrink-wrap from a "known retailer". And they MAY ask you to scan your receipt / invoice (though I have never actually done so, and I've successfully dealt with them numerous times for missing parts). They are usually VERY helpful and can go to great length and effort to fix you up... but, you have to know how to work with them.
Case in point: I bought a sealed CyberHobby white-box kit that had been in a store for a couple of years. This kit - a PzKpfw D - based version - somehow had missed its MagicTracks set when packaged. So I contacted D-C and explained what was the case. After a while, they came back and said that they could not help me, as the kit was OOP and there were no spare sprues or parts left around. HINT: KNOW about the part you need them to find! Turns out that the missing tracks are those narrower early version tracks... so I looked up what other DML/CH kits those came in and actually found an alternative! I got back with them and told them this fact - and ... "Oh Ho! We have some of THOSE available!". Same tracks - different kit. Voila! Problem solved! You cannot count on them knowing that a given part is sometimes found in multiple kits - they work off your kit number- so IF they cannot find your sprue from your kit, try to ID for them if the desired part(s) are part of another kit.
My understanding from them is that they actually have a few kits of a type available and they take them apart as needed.
Good Luck!

i had run into an issue where i was missing one piece. But, when i had needed the piece, it was well after i had started the kit and well after i had discarded the reciept. They were able to satisfy my need for sending a part. they will ask you where you got it and ask for a reciept and pictures of the kit.
i simply took a picture of what i had completed thus far with the spures that i had and also told them that i dont have the receipt anymore. they did not have a problem with getting me the part without having everything.

Anyone done business with Takom?
I am missing both C parts racks for a T-54B. They are kind of important parts, fuel lines, drums etc.

Maybe try messaging them on their facebook page. I got replacement parts that way with AFV Club.

It might not be irretrievable. I had the same problem (hull roof and lower hull were warped) and fixed it by bonding in transversely some lengths of 5/16" brass square tube and clamping firmly while it set. There are some stress marks in the plastic but I did it several years ago and it's not come apart. I can still see them because it's still unpainted but when I cemented upper and lower hills together (more clamping) it all squared up and is now fine. Must get it finished some time as the hardest work is done.

In this case, if this part (the superstructure) is particular to only this kit, meaning this superstructure part cannot be found in any other kit, you may be out of luck. I've had dealings with Dragon (I don't) Care, and if they don't have damaged or returned kits of that kind, they won't take the needed part from an intact kit on their shelf. Apparently, satisfying a possible future customer, with an assumed intact kit, is more important than satisfying a previous or current customer with a valid complaint.
