Hi all,
2012 is going to be an NVA dominated year for me but I need your help. I’m looking for information on the unit/tactical markings for all vehicles used by the four main branches of the NVA, particular focus will be on the ground forces, but some elements of the other three will be present if kits/conversions are possible. Any help will be gratefully received, be they memories, recommended books or web sources.
The four branches are:
The Landstreitkräfte (Ground Forces).
The Volksmarine (People's Navy).
The Luftstreitkräfte/Luftverteidigung (Air Forces/Air Defence).
The Grenztruppen der DDR (Border troops of the GDR).
A thank you in anticipation of your help may you and your families have a peaceful and prosperous new year.
Regards
Redprol

Hi Redprol,

search at amazon.de for books:
http://www.amazon.de/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85Z%C3%95%C3%91&url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=nva&x=13&y=17

And a very good source are the DVD's from Breucom. Breucom

On ebay germany you can find many old NVA books(Auf Ketten und Rädern, Immer Gefechtsbereit, Getreu dem Fahneneid, Soldaten des Volkes), and 'magazines' in name 'MTH'(Militär Technische Hefte[ picture ]). About the cars, trucks and tanks use the original NVA DV's(Dienstvorschrift[picture ]).

For more about the NVA, use the following:
