I did something wrong, after spraying the model with 25% X21 flat base and 75% future it has a slight white haze to it. Can I re-spray future to it with less X21 after a few hours to gloss it up a bit?
Thanks, George

Might be a result of mixing the two. I have never mixed anything with Future. It might not be reversable.

What was the temperature/humidity like in the area where you were spraying?
Cold temperatures and/or high humidity can cause white areas or 'blooming' in clear finishes which can be difficult to erradicate.

According to my modelling buddies, the flat base is for turning gloss colored paints flat. If used as a clear it will turn milky white .Almost made the same mistake and luckily someone at the local hobbyshop stopped me. Recently Tamiya has released a clear flat for overcoating...I just can't recall the number!

George,
Flat Base and Future make a great flat coat, I use the mixture all the time. If an area has frosted on you, just shoot it with a light coat of straight Future and the frosting will disappear. Then you can go back and flat coat it again.

Hey Matthew,
What are your mixing ratios for this? I might give this a try.

I spent a day testing ratios on the bottom of a Dunkelgrau junk model.
I use 2 parts flat base to 3 parts Future, or 40% flat base to 60% Future to put it another way. People talk about dead flat but this stuff is black hole non reflective.
At 50/50 it started to go white and got worse from there, of course. But 40/60 works incredibly and it has never gone FUBAR on me.

Very interesting, never knew you could mix these, guess I have learned something new today. I will have to try this.
Thanks
