Would this make a cool background for my night diorama, or what. It would be blown a little bigger of course, and clearer. If you can see, the tree that is to the left of the moon.
Let me know.

That was infact taken out in the country about 2 hours ago. Its a beautiful spot, and its also where I want to build my house when I get older. If I do, who knows maybe the flag will fall of the moon and to Earth and hit me in the head. #:-)

Chip,
Remember that a night dio deserves to be in a shadowbox for the best results .... the trick with shadowboxes is the way light is provided and with balanced light the background will disappear completely.... I would love this to work for you, but I fear it's very difficult and maybe even impossible. If, on the other hand, you do manage to make a convincing dio with this background, you'll deserve my greatest respect.
Keep us posted, I would like you to prove my thoughts wrong !!

Eagle,
Can't I just make a dio and then use that as a background like people use mountains and stuff as backgrounds?

Chip,
Sure you could do this, but I fear you'll be disappointed with the results. If, on the other hand, you do like it, it's very much ok to use it. There's only one person who can tell if it's satisfying and that's the builder himself.
If you feel good about it, just do it.... it might work out very fine...

Yeah, what the heck do I have to lose? If I don't like it I can just take it off the back of the dio. No big deal.

You don't know if it'll work until you actually do it, so get up and get after it and lets see what it looks like

Ok, Blaster, you got it. I will let everyone know if she worked or not. Give me some time.
