I am wondering how to make a quick, slightly large, shadow box.
First of all, is a shadowbox, a box with a scene inside? I already have a background picked out. The moon post in this forum, let me know what you think.
Thanks!

You would simply build a box with a single viwing port. Emphasis on PORT. The whole front is not opened, just a place to look in.
You'll be doing a night scene backlit by the moon to the front as your light source. You'll need to paint your figures so the side you see is in hte shadows. somewhat of a challenge. You will also need to create shadows on the ground. What you'll almost need to do is painft the scene in black and white. The good thing about a shadow bow is that you can used forced perspective, i.e., smaller scale objects in the background to give the impression of more depth. I've seen some with at least 3 scales produced.
Check your e-mail for another shot of the moon that might give you more character.

Chip,
In this case I would recommend the Book "How To Build Dioramas" by Shep Paine.... awesome explanation of shadowbox techniques.
