Sean, thanks for the review. How would you compare it to plastic offerings available on the market? They are 3 times cheaper.

Are any of those plastic offerings available at this point? As far as I know, we haven't even seen any spue shots of either Riich or Meng MaxxPro offerings yet? There's no way to compare this other than quoting plastic ones are going to be cheaper... which is also not fair since we still have no idea how much will the plastic ones go for.

I don't expect either the Riich or the Kinetic kit to be less than $80 (in HK)... I mean, Kinetic's upcoming M-ATV costs $50 and it's a smaller vehicle.

I actually don't think the price of the Legend kit is too much, but I decided to wait for a plastic one simply because I don't think I can handle building a complete resin kit like this... I'd probably end up ruining a lot of parts trying to clean them

My thoughts exactly. I feel Legend MaxxPro is still a good value for the money... you get all you need (minus decals) to build a high quality, very accurate model.

We'll see how Riich and Meng are going to do their job with MaxxPro, but I'm tend to think some resin upgrades will be necessary for many of us rivet counters.

Thats my point exactly. I can't wait to build this but I have too much on my plate at the moment

Please try to remember that the purpose of this review is to show you what is in the box, not what an injection moulded plastic kit will cost when released. It is also impossible to compare a plastic kit from any manufactuer that is not currently available to a resin kit that is available.

That said could you provide more detail on the instructions as that is an area that I have found Legend is weak on. I ask as I have an update set from them which is caussing me a lot of headaches when it comes to assembly.

Neither M-ATV nor MaxPro are available from Kinetic yet. Their M-ATV exists as test shots and MaxPro only as CAD drawings. So at this point it is impossible to tell if they will be worth getting at all. After all some early aircraft releases from Kinetic were very disappointing...

This looks a great kit but have not had experience with Resin kits .I saw comments about Kinetic kits ,bought one MRAP and have to say it was the worst kit I have ever bought .You cannot use plastic glue or Mek Pak welding glue and the Quality deplorable parts did not fit ,instructions abysmal would not recommend it just got me mad.

I assume you are talking about Kinetic's MAT-V
The kit is a real PITA, but you'll have to see Panda's one to know what a real nightmare is...

The worst thing for me with Kinetic's kit is that it seems to be more in 1/32 scale tan in 1/35.
Anyway, I'm still on the process to build one, and have had no issues either with Tamiya's thin liquid cement or CA glues, what kind of cement were you using?

Resin kits shouldn't be compared to styrene kits in anyway shape or form, almost like comparing it to balsa.

Good looking kit and very clean... the tires even have that ground/sag thing going on too.

The molds are pretty crisp so I may keep it on my to do list for sure!
