My favorite snow is Sweet N'Low the artificial sweetener. It does not yellow, looks great, is cheap and being artificial does not attract bugs
Apply it by painting a water/white glue mixture in the areas I want covered and simply sprinkling it on. After it dries, I use my air compressor, blow off he excess, and then add more if it needs it. For large snowdrifts, I first use Durhams water putty to build up the drift and sprinkle on the Sweet N Low while it is still wet.
As far as weathering the troops, lightly Dry brushing with white goes a long way. But remember bootsand lower pant leg getmust ofthe contact, unles it is actaully snowing. do not drybrush everthing white.

I picked up a bottle of "Soft Flake Snow" from Woodland Scenics (SN140). It looks neat in the bottle, but I haven't tried it yet. Has anybody else tried this stuff? I have also heard of people using plaster for thick snow, and poly beads (whatever those are)
Hope this helps

I'm only on for a few minutes so I can't answer in length
Go to the top right Search feature and type in SNOW and you will find a LOT of great stuff.
Also look at the Features section and Look for Distraction by Faust.

I saw a great tank diorama (can't recall where), but the builder had used baking soda as the snow...he even had it "caked" between the treads of the tank's track--it looked very, very realistic!

I use baking soda too...
I use spray adhesive, spray it to the surface, and sprinkle the baking soda...Another coat of spray adhesive, and a final coat of Mr. Flat Coat...
Good Luck!

I don't want my snow to turn to yellow from white!! Are these enough for the ''White'' snow??
