I have DML's M3, 75mm GMC (item no. 6467) and plan on building it as one used by Royal Canadian Dragoons in Italy.
I would like to know if the U.S. style of radio that it comes from the factory (and the kit) with is replaced with the Mk.19 wireless set.
If it is would anyone have information on how it and the antennas are installed.
Any help please
Roy

Hi Roy,
I can't help with the actual mounting information, except to say that the standard No. 19 wireless mounts and antenna bases were certainly used.
However, I will say with almost certainty that in Canadian service, the vehicle would not have had a US radio (unless it was set up for some sort of special liason mission).
You might find some mounting ideas here:
The Wireless Set no. 19
If you surf around on their site, you can find a ton of photos of No. 19 sets in all sorts of expedient and design-purpose mounts along with the associated equipment and accessories.
Good hunting!
