Just started scratch building my m1070 cpk conversion. here are some progress shots. everything is still attached using double sided tape.

next up is creating the new box on the left side of the truck next to the winch.

If anybody has interior shots of a cpk version m1070, especially with radio setup etc. I would be very happy to receive them. Also pictures of the rear of the cabin would be very nice.

some more progress, adding the bolts is a lot of work but it is starting to look like a CPK update.

Hi Michel,

Starting to look the part !

I'll keep an eye on your progress as I am really interested in making mine with CPK cab just as you're doing.

Keep it up.

Cheers,

Richard

Michel

Maybe it's too late, but I guess the "doghouse" inside the CPK cab (the big box-shaped item between the seats ) may be a bit different from the one of the "softskin" variant. At least that's what is shown in the Technical Manual (I've sent you the link to it some weeks ago) but I can't compare the kit parts to the TM drawings . According to the same TM, there's no specific stowage guide related to the CPK, so I believe interior pics of the "softskin" cab should help...

Hi Frenchy,

I have been using the cpk manual a lot and have used some other technical manuals as well. I think that the CPK manual shows the internal structure and there seam to be some steps on the inside of the "doghouse". I have not found any pictures or other evidence that the steps that are shown cpk guide are also on the inside. If you look on page 20 of the cpk manual and look Also page 185 shows a good diagram of the doghouse and shows that it still is a large box without steps.
(I hope I understood your comment correctly)

kind regards Michel

ps. if your interested I have found some more manuals of the M1070 that are interesting. especcially the unit maintenance manual gives a lot of information.

I agree with you about the drawing on page 185, but the one on page 20 shows that the doghouse top edge is more "rounded"

So things are quite confusing....Maybe you could leave it as it is and put some stuff on it to hide details...

PS : I already have the other TMs

Here another update, need to make the windows, the door hinges and 1 more door. after that will start adding the antenna's and finish the interior.

thx for looking and pictures of the interior of a CPK version m1070 would still be very welcome.
